Fairbanks Food & Fun
Just returned from the Fairbanks, Alaska Whole Life Festival. For my colleagues in Alaska, Happy Alaska Day Sunday, October 18! I got to enjoy the warmth of the Alaska people again! When I left Fairbanks, it was 28 degrees. Not cold by Fairbanks standards, especially this time of year.
I believe the way we eat is essential to our health, and food quality and presentation make all the difference in the world.
When I travel, I usually make the time to find a beautiful, upscale restaurant with a menu that speaks of a higher quality of food. I look for somewhere I have never been before, something I have never eaten before, and I treat myself to dinner.
I discovered Lavelle's Bistro in downtown Fairbanks. Delicious food, incredible wine selection, especially by the glass, and a nice setting. The place was packed on a Tuesday evening-this is clearly the place to go for a more luxurious experience!
The service is the only thing that could be improved. (Yes, I was a waitress for many years and I notice these things.)
Eat well and be good to yourself.
Until next time...October Blessings..Miluna
